Quote of the Day,
Science,
Skepticism
“Education has failed in a very serious way to convey the most important lesson science can teach: skepticism”
-Dr. David Suzuki
Science education has proved worthless in this country at teaching skepticism. Indeed, despite my own coming from one of the best public school systems in the country I, too, found myself believing in pseudosciences until recent years.

Quote of the Day,
Skepticism
“I don’t believe in astrology; I’m a Sagittarius and we’re skeptical.”
-Sir Arthur C. Clarke
I’m excited tonight because I’ve discovered that a meetup.com group has been started recently for Madison Skeptics. I hope it turns into something really cool. We’ll see, I guess.

Quote of the Day,
Skepticism
“Any monkey worth his salt would give any bird a beak-flip.”
-Perry DeAngelis (R.I.P.)
A little special quote (to make up for yesterday’s missed quote) for any of you who listen to “The Skeptics Guide to the Universe” podcast.

Quote of the Day,
Skepticism
“The beginning of wisdom is found in doubting; by doubting we come to the question, and by seeking we may come upon the truth.”
-Pierre Abelard
It’s the foundation of Skepticism…questioning what we know to find if we do truly know it.
Sorry for the lack of a quote yesterday, but life can be busy and not allow time for blogging.
